20.000 euros congratulation
This article is entitled to an intresting fact. As most of you know VFB Stuttgart won recently the german Bundesliga title. In order to show their respect for this success Bayern Munchen purchased advertising space in the major german newspapers and published a Congratulations article for their rivals performance. The cost of this ads was of about 20.000 euros.
My respect goes to such actions. To spend 20.000 euros just for congratulating your rival for the performance is a great Fairplay act.
Juve did it also
I remember that this was previously done in the past after the Uefa Champions League final between Juventus and AC Milan a few years ago. Juventus purchased a whole page, the last newspaper page of the famous Gazzetta dello Sport and congartulated their rivals for the win. The advertising transaction costed 80.000 euros. This act is more impressive because it came after a direct victory. The final was between Juve and Milan and the Rossoneri won at the penalty shoot-out. So the Milan success , ment Juves loss. As in the above example Bayern finished on the 4th spot and wasn’t directly influenced by Stuttgarts victory. I mean that Stuttgart didn’t steal the trophy from their hands. Schalke 04 where the victims this time.
