Pippo d’Oro, lucky Inzaghi… happy Milan

Milan won tonight the 2007 Uefa Champions League season in an intresting game against FC Liverpool. The 1st half showed a balanced match, with Liverpool producing more dangerous scoring opportunities. The first half ended with a lucky Milan goal signed by Inzaghi. Pirlo shot a medium range free kick and El Pippo d’Oro deflected the ball with the shoulder and scored.
The 2nd half presented Liverpool racing for the equalizer. Gerard had a big chance, standing alone with Dida couldn’t produce the goal. Milan surprised on the counter attack and scored once again. Pippo Inzaghi again after a great pass from Kaka. In the final moments of the game Liverpool reduced the difference with Kuyt’s header but at the end it was not enough to bring the game in extra time.

Milan managed to revenge the 2005 defeat. Pippo Inzaghi was voted man of the match and in my opinion the luckiest football player in activity.
