OL has a new coach
The best football club in France in the last six years, Olympique Lyon signed today for a new coach. Gerard Houllier left OL after winning the 6th title in a row.
Olympique Lyon is one of the strongest club in Europe with constant good performance in the Uefa Champions League and the supreme club in the Ligue 1.

Alain Perrin
This is the name of the new Olympique Lyon coach. He was today introduced by Jean-Michel Aulas, OL president. Perrin Signed a 2 year contract after OL paid 400.000 euros to Sochaux as a compensation. The 50 year old Perrin has signed with Lyon after although he was called a 2nd hand coach in 2002 by an OL official.

Some facts about Alain Perrin
-> he is a former Portsmouth boss.
-> Perrin was in charge of Sochaux, the club which caused a major upset this season when they defeated Marseille in the French Cup final and finished seventh in Ligue 1.
-> Perrin started his managerial career at Troyes, taking the non-league side into Ligue 1 with three promtions in six seasons.
-> His managerial record attracted interest from a host of clubs and he elected to join Marseille.
-> United Arab Emirates venture, before his disastrous performance at Fratton Park where he won just four of 21 games.
-> Six months out of the game followed his dismissal from the south coast club before taking the reigns at Sochaux last May.
-> Today he signed with Lyon.
