Group A
Portugal coached by Luiz Felipe Scolari resembles more and more with a spectacular Brazilian team. They managed a 2-1 win in Belgium and they keep their chances alive for the Euro 2008 qualification. The group A is led by Poland who came back to win 3-1 against Azerbaijan. While Serbia won 2-0 in Finland and keeps the presure on the leaders.

Group B
In group B France and Italy maintained their battle towards qualification for Euro 2008 with wins against Ukraine and the Faroe Islands on Saturday.

Group C
Bosnia-Herzegovina won in drama with crucial last minute 3-2 goal over visitors Turkey. Norway demolished Malta 4-0 and remained in touch with the front group.
Defending champions Greecerlead Group C after a 2-0 home victory against Hungary.

Germany won 6-0 at home against San Marino and moved on top of the group D.

Alexander Kerzhakov scored a hattrick for Russias 4-0 win against Andorra.
Eduardo scored for Croatia 1-0 win away in Estonia to move ahead of Russia to the Euro 2008 group E.

David Villa and Xavi gave Spain a deserved 2-0 away win against Latvia.. Luis Aragones’ side are now a point behind Sweden and Northern Ireland.

Group G
Romania got the lead of Group G after a 2-1 away win agains Slovenia. 2nd half goals by Gabriel Tamas and Banel Nicolita offered Romania the chance to overtake Holland in the race for Euro 2008. A late goal by Slovenia’s Dare Vrsic couldn’t spoil the party.
Bulgaria kept in touch with the group leaders after a 2-0 away win in Belarus.
