He sure wants to be back on top of the world.

All the rumours about the former top Brazilian players fitness condition are once again confirmed as Ronaldinho asked to be left out of Brazil’s squad for the Copa America competition, which is due to start at the end of this month. He admitted that he needs rest in order to be able to prepare the next season without interruption.
The 27 year old Barcelona star has been contested by fans and media for being in a poor fitness condition. This should be the result of being overweight and skipping out Barcelona’s training sessions.

Dunga’s opinion:”Ronaldinho lacks pace at the moment”
Now his national team coach Dunga has informed him that he is on the same side of the barricade and explained that Ronaldinho has to improve his fitness level if he wants to regain the crown of the world’s best player. According to Dunga, Kaka is the player of the moment, but Ronaldinho can return on top. Here are a few more quotes from the Brazilian national team coach:

“Kaka is the best player at the moment, Ronaldinho has the capability to return to the top and Robinho could be up there.”

“Ronaldinho lacks pace at present. He lacks that initial burst of speed that allows him to get away from rivals.”

“He has to train more. A Ronaldinho at peak fitness is impossible to stop as seen last year. Technically he is better than the rest.”

Although being inconsistent Ronaldinho is Barcelona’s top scorer
Yes he is. The Brazilian number 10 scored 20 goals for Barca in the Primera until now this season and he is the clubs top scorer. This also could be possible because of a long lasting Samuel Eto’o injury.

Barca still hoping
On the other hand Barca is still fighting with Real for the Primera. The two teams are level on points but Real Madrid edges in front having a better head to head performance.
There are two more rounds left and Barcelona has to defeat Espanyol on Saturday without Ronaldinho on the pitch. The Brazilian was sent off against Getafe and will be able to play only last round match against relegated side Gimnastic Tarragona.

I would explain myself this slight decline season. All the fame and glory and for sure money, lots of them, resulted in stressing off the pitch life. I traveled last summer in Barcelona and the brazilian’s face was all over the main comercial products in the city. I imagine that it’s quite stressing to please all the sponsors and play in the same time a dozen of perfect games.

Ronaldinho needs to re-shedule his priorities, focus more on the actual game and he will be back at the top for sure. ;)

Ronaldinho and Messi in top form should make Barca invincible! :)
