Chivu not sure of his situation.

Romanian national team captain denied on Saturday rumours about a transfer towards Internationale Milano. Chivu is currently engaged with AS Rome and is negotiating a contract extension. The Romanian defender has one more year to serve for Rome from his initial deal.

Cristian Chivu transfer rumours
Rumours started earlier this week, after Chivu’s agent confirmed that he has offers from Spanish, Italian and English clubs. From what appears Barcelona and Inter Milan have started bidding for the Romanian national team captain, after Chivu failed to reach an agreement with Rome. The player asked for a higher salary, option denied by the Rome’s staff.
Chivu played both his national team matches against, Slovenia last week, both 2-1 and 2-0 victories.

Some quotes from Chivu’s reaction

“In the past year the media moved me from one club to another every day, None of these reports is true.”

“I’m a Roma player for a year more so I’m not allowed to be contacted by any club.”

“For the moment, I’m in talks with my club in order to find ways to extend our contract.”

And he signed.
Yesterday the Romanian national team captain signed for four years with Inter Milan. Crisitan Chivu’s wage at Internazionale will reach to 4,5 million euros per year and the bonuses are not included.
After being linked also with F.C. Barcelona in the last wee, Chivu decided to join Inter. The club located in Milan paid 12 million euros and gave up on the rights for David Pizarro to A.S. Rome.
This proves that the Romanian’s reaction earlier this month, when he denied a move away from Rome was just a polite statement.
Chivu’s official presentation at Internazionale will be made in July, according to the latest reports.
