David Beckham in the US!

Although Beckham is still injured and he could postpone his LA Galaxy debut very day that passes brings him closer to his first match for his new MLS soccer team.
LA Galaxy have scheduled a friendly game with the English FA cup holders Chelsea FC on Saturday but Beckham has small chances of entering the pitch. England’s national team superstar is injured since the last Euro 2008 qualifying game against Estonia. His injury got aggravated as he forced and played in the last Primera League match-day as Real Madrid won the La Liga title.

Beckham says no risk
David Beckham explained that he has joined LA Galaxy for a five year deal and that he won’t rush to play before achieving a full recovery. A decision will be taken on the match-day but most likely Becks won’t play although the LA Galaxy staff will try to push him at least a few minutes in order to mark an official debut.

Does Beckham regret the switch to the MLS?
Rumors are reporting that Becks is already regretting his decision to switch to the MLS and abandon the European Soccer. I read in the online media that he is not satisfied with his teammates which fail to resemble with an European top soccer team.
Let’s see how will Beckham accommodate in the US and how much he will last at LA Galaxy.

Beckham made his debut last night in the friendly game between LA Galaxy and Chelsea. The FA Cup holders won 1-0 after a John Terry goal.
Becks debut was signed in the 78th minute as he came in as a substitute and he made a successful appearance. The English former national team captain played with a swollen ankle and forced his comeback although he wasn’t fit for the game.

"It was very emotional," Beckham said afterwards. "The reaction if I even take off my top or kick the ball has been incredible.

"I really wanted to be out there tonight with all the attention. It is a great day for the club.

"I'm not fit and I haven't trained since I have been out here. The ankle is swollen and we'll see how it is tomorrow.

"It is not going to go away for a week or so but it's making progress. It's not a serious injury.",
Beckham said.
