South China 1-3 Liverpool- extended video summary
Liverpool won it’s friendly game against South China. The match was played in Hong Kong in front of a crowd packed with cheering fans that where ecstatic because they had the possibility to see the Uefa Champions League 2006-2007 finalists. South China, which is the best team in Hong Kong with 28 league titles and Liverpool played for the Baltese Asia Trophy competition. The winners, Liverpool, are expected to play the final against Portsmouth.

Ribery and Wagner defeat Stuttgart

Bayern Munich won yesterday 2-0 against German defending Bundesliga champions VFB Stuttgart after a one way game. The team located at the Allianz Arena continued to impress after Saturday’s clear 4-1 victory over Werder Bremen. Frank Ribery shined again for Bayern as he scored a superb goal to bring his new team in the lead after only 8 minutes of play. It was a long range shot which left Stuttgart’s keeper with no reaction. The Frenchman has contributed also to the 2-0 goal signed by young Wagner.

Lampard scores late equalizer against Feyenoord

Feyenoord drew with The Blues today in one of the most important friendly games of the day. The Dutch lead Chelsea with a goal just before the half time signed by defender Hofland while Chelsea managed to equalize ten minutes from time with a Frank Lampard kick. The game was alert and both teams produced plenty of scoring opportunities. But the goalkeepers showed some nice shape. The Chelsea newcomer Claudio Pizarro made a nice appearance and had an important goal attempt. On the other side Feyenoord missed the victory after they failed to score from a late penalty kick.
