The world of football is shocked once again after Antonio Puerta’s death. I did some serious thinking before writing this article but I couldn’t stay away and not mention about the talent, skill and cruel faith of this 22 year old football player. Antonio Puerta was a left-footer. He played for Sevilla CF since he was a child and spent in total 14 years at the Spanish club. He played for Sevilla’s second team in the 2002-2004 period and since 2004 until his death a few days ago, Puerta played for Sevilla’s senior team. His recent good performance at the club team attracted interest from several big names in the football scene as Real Madrid, Arsenal or Manchester United.

Antonio Puerta - Death
The Spanish youngster suffered a series of heart attacks last Saturday, 25th of August, while playing for Sevilla in the first game of the new La Liga season. In the 35th minute of the game Puerta collapsed, lost consciousness while suffering a first heart attack. He was helped by the Sevilla’s medical staff to recover and was able to walk to the dressing room where a second cardiac arrest started. The player was rushed to the hospital where the doctors tried to save him. But sadly on the 28th of August the media had to announce the terrible news-flash, Antonio Puerta had died …
