Slavia Prague won their first Champions League game at home 2-1 against Steaua Bucharest. It was a decent game. Slavia opened the score fast in the 13th minute. But Steaua controlled the first half and was the better team on the pitch. Dorin Goian equalized for the Romanians after a corner kick header.
Slavia Prague chose to counter-attack in the second half and it was a good thing to do. Their speedy strikers where superior to Steaua’s central defenders. The hosts scored the winning goal in the 63rd minute and nailed a very important win.
