Arsenal de Sarandi qualified for the final of the Copa Sudamericana 2007 edition. River Plate where forced to accept a semifinal elimination after last night’s penalty kick defeat. River was the better side during the game with Fernando Belluschi missing some important scoring chances. Ortega was injured in the start of the second half and Ahumada was red carded.
Belluschi still found a superb curled shot saved by Arsenal’s goalkeeper though. The same keeper scored the winning goal from the penalty spot for the guests and propelled them into the Vuelta final. Watch the highlights of this match in the above embedded video.
