Celtic defeat Shakhtar Donetsk in the last seconds of yesterday’s game and become favourites to occupy the second place in the Group D, a ranking that will allow them to qualify for the next round.
It was yet another dramatic game at the Celtic Park with the home team winning in the dying seconds of the match. Brandao opened the score for Shakhtar after a huge mistake of a Celtic defender. This was all happening in the 4th minute already. Jarosik equalized for the home team after an even bigger mistake of two Ukrainian defenders which collided with each other. It was the 45th minute of the game and the goal came right at the perfect moment for the home team.
The second half saw an attacking Celtic side. The winning goal came right at the buzz, Donati scoring with a deflected shot. Both teams have still chances to advance but Celtic are now considered favorites to qualify for the next Champions League round.
