Reading expect the Reds - Match-Day 15

Liverpool plays an away game with Reading on Saturday afternoon, for their domestic title race. Rafael Benitez side is 4th in the standings with a match less played as the rest of the group and is still in touch with leaders Arsenal and second placed Man Utd.
Reading are ranked in the second part of the table and a win against Liverpool would give them a little more comfort for avoiding the relegation spots. This should be an interesting game indeed. FCFootballBlog will update you with the results as soon as the matches end. We will also offer you highlights of the most important events.

Reading vs Liverpool - Betting Tips
My betting tip for this game is an away win for Liverpool. All the signs lead to such an outcome especially after the 4 - 2 win in the Carling Cup for Rafa Benitez’s side 2 months ago. The Cormorants are a bit tight with the Champions League affair, as they need also the best line-up next Tuesday for the UCL, but I don’t think that this can make them lose points with Reading today. We have to wait and see. :)

Reading vs Liverpool - Head to Head
I could find only 4 recent meetings between the two clubs and Liverpool has a clear advantage in the head to head comparison. The Cormorants won all four matches, two of them disputed for during the Carling Cup fixtures. The last meeting was in September 2007, 3 months ago and Liverpool won 4 - 2 in an away match.
25.09.07 Reading 2-4 Liverpool Carling Cup
07.04.07 Reading 1-2 Liverpool
04.11.06 Liverpool 2-0 Reading
25.10.06 Liverpool 4-3 Reading Caring Cup

17′ [1 - 0] S. Hunt (penalty kick)
28′ [1 - 1] S. Gerrard

Reading upsets Liverpool in their Premier League clash this afternoon. It was an unexpected 3 - 1 win for the home team. Steven Gerrard scored the consolation goal for the Cormorants in the 28th minute. It was a fair win for the home side. Watch all goals in the following embedded videos.

1 - 1 Steven Gerrard equalizes for Liverpool with a shot from inside of the box.

2 - 1 Doyle brings Reading in the lead again.
