Valencia vs Barcelona - Live Coverage and Highlights
First Half Highlights
Barcelona defeat Valencia in style in this away meeting counting for the 16th La Liga round. Samuel Eto’o was the hero of the night for Barca as he managed to score the first 2 goals for the Catalan side. Eto’o seems to be the piece of the puzzle that was missig from Frank Rijkard’s game.
Valencia simply had no chance tonight, and the 50,000 where certain of that after Eidur Gudjohnsen’s 0 - 3 goal. This goal game in the 60th minute and a considerable part of the attendance sarted on their way home after a disappointing evening for their favorites.
Worth to mention is that Lionel Messi and Giovani Dos Santos made a great appearance tonight. The Argentinian star had to be replaced just before half time because of an injury. For the best of spectacular football we should all hope that it is not a serious one.

On the oder side Barcelona have won their UCL group and are second in the domestic rankings. Frank Rijkard and his team will try to put pressure on leaders Real Madrid with a win in Valencia. It will be an interesting game for sure.

Valencia vs Barcelona - Betting Tips
This is a difficult game to predict on. Valencia need the points and Barcelona need them even more. It is a fact that Frank Rijkard’s team is in better shape as Valencia and also that individually Barca’s squad is more valuable as Ronald Koeman’s side. I am predicting an away win for this event. Barcelona will win. If you also want a score, most probable from my point of view is 1 - 2, this is my extended betting tip. Good luck to everyone!
Valencia vs Barcelona - Head to Head
Surprisingly or not Valencia have a positive recent head to head history in their direct comparison with Barcelona. Out of the last 5 matches played between the two clubs, Valencia won 2 and Barcelona obtained a single win. The other two matches ended with a draw. So Frank Rijkard’s team last defeated Valencia, in May 2005, that’s 2 years and a half. All the games where counted for the La Liga. The most recent meeting was played in February this year at the Mestalla and was won by the home team with 2 - 1.
