Portsmouth 0 - 0 Arsenal - Highlights
Arsenal played only to a draw their Premier League game yesterday against Portsmouth and lost the EPL lead. Manchester United had won earlier their game against Sunderland and Arsenal needed a win in order to defend their Premier League top spot. It wasn’t to be this time for Arsene Wenger’s boys. Their goalless draw in Portsmouth ment, that they lost the Premier League top spot after about three months of reign.
It was a balanced first half with Rosicky having the best scoring chance for Arsenal with a nice curled shot. Muntari just missed the goal, from long range and registered, Portsmouth’s best action of the first 45 minutes.
The second half was split, first Portsmouth dominated and had an important scoring chance. Almunia did his job and the deadly counter-attack ended with an offensive foul. You can see more in the above video.
Arsenal dominated the end of the game, having a few major scoring chances but, Rosicky Gallas and their team-mates failed to find the winning goal. Arsene Wenger was also quite affected, especially with Arsenal failing to score in a Premier League match for the first time since last season.
