Juventus 1 - 1 Cagliari Highlights
Dramatic game at the Stadio Olimpico in Torino tonight. Home team, Juventus lost 2 huge points at home against Cagliari in a game with numerous goal chances that pushed the supporters nerves to the limit. Speaking of the fans, around 20,000 of them attended this afternoon at this 21st Serie A match for both sides.
It was a balanced first half in terms of scoring chances with Juventus dominating the ball possession statistics. Bianco opened the score for the visitors in the 55th minute kicking the ball into the net from close range, after a corner kick rebound. Juventus seemed in control, because after only a minute Pavel Nedved struck a nice goal from long range and levelled the score.
You can see in the above highlights how Cagliari came close to winning this match after an incredible scoring chance missed by one of it’s striker, or better said after a superb Gianluigi Buffon who blocked a shot being one-on-one with Cagliari’s striker. The ball rebounded towards the goal and Juventus’ goalkeeper stopped the ball at the edge of the goal-line.
Juventus are now still third in the Serie A standings, 4 points away from AS Roma who lost today in Siena. Cagliari are still last ranked with only 14 points.
