Tottenham Hotspur have won the 2007-2008 Carling Cup edition. It was a dramatic game covered live by the FCFootballBlog. Chelsea had a better first half, Drogba scoring from the free kick, with a clever placed shot.
The referee awarded Tottenham a questionable penalty kick in the 70th minute. Dimitar Berbatov scored from the penalty spot. The final of the 90 minutes from the regular time showed the Spurs at the command of the game with a few major misses.
The goal came though for Tottenham in the 4th minute of the extra time. Chelsea raced for the equalizer but couldn’t find the goal.
