Werder Bremen 1 - 0 Glasgow Rangers Highlights
1-0 Diego scores the only goal of the game after a superb personal skill and a clever placed ball.
Rangers managed to resist in Germany tonight. The Scottish side defended their 2-0 advantage obtained on the home soil last week. Werder Bremen controlled the whole game. The Germans nearly broke some statistics records. Werder had 18 corner kicks, 41 shots towards the goal, 17 of them on target and a 56% ball possession.
All this wasn’t enough because Rangers came decided to defend with all they had. Only Diego could magic a nice shot and score for his team in the 58th minute. The Germans could not find the second goal and had to face a premature UEFA Cup exit. The un-luck was at the highest levels in the 85th minute as Sanogo’s shot hit the crossbar from around 2 meters.
