Manchester United 1 - 0 AS Roma Highlights
1-0 Carlos Tevez sends a superb diving header to score the only goal of the game for Man Utd.
The formality was accomplished at the Old Trafford. Alex Ferguson said before tonight’s game that United are with a leg in the semi-finals and to bring the second one would need maximum concentration in tonight’s encounter. Manchester United started without their three key players: Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes. They where replaced by Carlos Tevez, Anderson, Park and Pique.
AS Roma profited from Ferguson’s decision to rest some key players and seemed capable to cause serious problems. The referee awarded them an easy penalty, but De Rossi, the future captain, sent the ball way over the crossbar from the 11 meters spot. Everything was decided in the 70th minute as Carlos Tevez finished in style a cross sent by Park. The Argentinian player dived and headed the ball unreachable for Doni.
