For this football gear review I chose to present you Russia’s strip for the upcoming Euro 2008 final tournament. Russia are the ones that pushed England on the third spot in their Qualifiers group, and kept them away from this summer’s major event. Nike unveiled their new football kit a few weeks ago.

The home kit or the main kit that will be used during the Euro combines all the colors of the Russian national flag, having white as the main background shade. On the chest of the shirt there are patterned two horizontal stripes, all across the shirt, colored blue and red that shape the Russian federation flag. You can see the home and away shirts in the images embedded above. I don’t have yet the photos for the rest of the home kit as it’s quite new released. I embedded below more information about the away kit, though.

The away red kit is using the main color that marked Russia’s history. Red can be seen on 90% of this strip. The shorts and the socks have very small white insertions for Nike’s logo and also the horizontal stripes the form Russia’s national flag embedded on the socks. The shirt can be seen in the picture above and also below.

You can see Arshavin wearing this away strip. I think that you already expected the player name and number to be painted with white on the back of the shirt. The collar is also white. The front of the shirt is using the same pattern as the Euro 2008 kit does. It contains Russia’s national flag on the chest. Above this pattern the Nike logo and Russia’s football federation logo are displayed.
