Chelsea 1 - 1 Wigan Athletic Highlights
1-0 Michael Essien opens the score for the home side with a shot from outside of the box.
Wigan manage to upset Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge after a dramatic equalizer obtained in the injury time. Emile Heskey sent the Blues 4 points behind Manchester United and on big step away from the Premier League title. Chelsea lead the game and had a few scoring opportunities. Anelka’s 35th minute header was one of the bigger ones.
Michael Essien scored the opening goal in the 55th minute with a shot from the edge of the box. Emile Heskey equalized for the visitors in the second minute of injury time. Wigan’s striker dived after a spectacular cross and sent the ball into the back of the net and frustrated the 40.000 people attendance.
