Turkey’s national team is one of the 16 teams that qualified for the EURO 2008. Nike unveiled their kits for this tournament and for the rest of the season. Above you have the images of the home and away kits for the 2008-2009 season. The home strip will be the main kit used at the EURO by Fatih Terim’s squad. After failing to qualify for the European Championship hosted by Portugal in 2004, Turkey will hope to have an appreciated appearance in Austria and Switzerland. And why not this new shirts could be an extra source of luck.
For the numerous Turkish fans spread worldwide around the world I will review in detail the two strip editions listed above.
The home strip is mainly red combined with white. The shirt has a wide vertical stripe around the chest area. The collar is also white. The socks are also red with a single vertical white stripe and the Nike logo embedded on the front side.
The away kit is not within the Turkish kit traditions. It combines the white and light blue colors. The collar of the shirt is light blue as well as the Nike logo embedded on the chest area. The player names and numbers are also painted with light blue on the back side of the shirt. The socks are using the same pattern as those from the home kit. Only the colors are different. Light blue is the main one and white is the secondary color.

I like this Turkish kit! they have a good team, but the group in the EURO is very difficult, I think.
