| Zenit St. Petersburg won the UEFA Cup |
Time to imagine now that Zenit St. Petersburg will win the UEFA Cup Final tonight at the City of Manchester Stadium. In this case we will see a Russian party in England. Not sure, if the Manchester pub owners got some extra stocks of Vodka, but they will have plenty of clients in case of a Zenit win also.
In my opinion, the Russians have the first chance for winning this final and I will place my money on them, although I will anger for sure many Scottish fans with this prediction. Let the best side win!
Just heard on the news one of Dick Advocaat’s interviews prior to this final. The Dutch coach stated that he would like to come back to Scotland as he had a great time in Glasgow and he is ready to coach Rangers again. Such a statement before an UEFA Cup Final is not appropriate from my point of view, but as you see the psychological battle has already started.
Five Events that can occur if Zenit St Petersburg win tonight
1. Manchester pubs will run out of alcohol. The Russian fans will drink all the vodka to celebrate the win, while the Rangers fans will drink all the beer and whiskey to forget about their disappointment
2. 5% of Manchester inhabitants will be Russian native, as Zenit fans won’t leave the city for several days after the game, as they need to get sober. Manchester has a population of over 400,000 people. The Russian fans traveling to the UK for this game should near to the 20,000 figure.
3. Dick Advocaat will return to Glasgow and try to win the UEFA Cup for the second time in a row, this time with Rangers.
4. Rangers will lose the Scottish Premier League title. Such a big disappointment will decrease the self confidence of the Rangers players and it’s highly probable that Walter Smith’s team might lose the battle with Celtic for the Scottish title.
5. There will be also happy people in Scottland, the Celtic fans! ![]()
