Barcelona’s striker could end up playing in the Premier League starting with the next season. Samuel Eto’s future at the Camp Nou is insecure. With a new manager, Josep Guardiola the Cameroonian striker might not make it in Barcelona’s starting 11, especially as he did not recover yet to his full potential.
Samuel Eto’o admitted that he is interested to set new goals and try something new. Rumors state that the Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Barcelona’s striker. Eto’o confirmed that he might be interested in a switch for the English football.
He recently said for Sky Sports that:
‘The Premiership is a top league, so to play there will be fantastic and a good challenge.’
In my opinion, I think that Eto’o qualities are ideal for the La Liga and the Spanish football. But I am not sure that he can play at top level with Barcelona once again. Everyone needs new motivations and new goals in order to constantly improve. I would be curious if a player like Eto’o could familiarize with the English football. Honestly, I am quite skeptic.
