Porstmouth are the new FA Cup trophy holders. A 1-0 win against Cardiff, registered 5 minutes ago at the Wembley stadium brings the second FA Cup for Pompey. Nwankwu Kanu scored the only goal of the game. Prior to that he had another superb run, but he hit the post.
Portsmouth controlled the match and Cardiff managed to dominate only in the last 15 minutes as Pompey decided to counter-attack. Cardiff City had two important equalizing chances in the last minutes but it was Portsmouth’s days today.
Kanu was declared the man of the match.
