| Manchester United Win the Champions League with Penalties! |
After a wonderful game that ended 1-1 we seen Manchester United lift the trophy with penalties.
Ronaldo scored first, with Frank Lampard equalizing.
Drogba was then sent off for violent conduct.
In penalties, both Ronaldo and John Terry missed to send it to sudden death. Anelka then missed, sending the trophy back once again to Manchester.

That was quite a cracking game. Though chelsea put up a gud fight, i still feel man u was always 10% ahead of them.I dont agree with people who are saying the 2 halves of play were split between the finalist in the sense that man u dominated the first 45 minutes, both in terms possesion (58%) and clear cut chances, while the 2nd half was evenly contested. I must say that if chelsea had dominated the other half, they would surely have carried the day.
Perhaps the only difference between the two teams in the 2nd half is that chelsea piled mo pressure on man u but could manage to disentangle the defence of vidic & ferd, hence resorted to long range shooting. On the other hand, man u was always dangerous on counter attacks and they walked through the chelsea defence almost at will. Even in xtra time, man u created more vivid chances than chelsea.
At the end of the game, the stats gave a true picture: Possession (man u 58%, chelsea 42%); shorts on target (5 against 3); complete passes (78% against 66%; corners (5 against 8). Shorts on target represent the accuracy of shooting.
Frankly, chelsea did not expect that man u would walk on them like that & that is why they could not adopt plan B to win the match. For them, they won the game in the press coz they ultimately underated man u.Word of CAUTION 4 CHELSEA!Next time try not 2 focus too much on the weaknesses of your opponents coz u will fail to deal with their strengths when they apply them effectively. Go Man u. U surely deserved 2 win.
