Michael Ballack uncertain for the EURO 2008 Final
Germany have their problems too with injured players that could miss the EURO 2008 final. If David Villa’s faith is certain, Michael Ballack has real chances to play tomorrow, although coach Joachim Low confirmed that Chelsea’s inner midfielder was not able to train for the last two days because a problem with the right calf muscle.
Michael Ballack’s history with the German national football team is not that lucky. He missed the World Cup 2002 final because of a cumulative bookings suspension. He played in the World Cup 2006 semi-final that Germany lost against Italy. So the 31-year-old inner midfielder is yet to play a final with his national team. Will he manage it tomorrow? The Spanish national team doctor Jesus Jimenez has confirmed that David Villa needs at least 6 days of recovery. This means that he will be out of the EURO 2008 final. David Villa has scored 4 goals during the European tournament and has proved himself the most in shape striker of the Spanish side, against the odds that expected Fernando Torres in the same position.

FC Copenhagen 2 - 0 Zenit St. Petersburg Highlights
FC Copenhagen and the UEFA Cup title holders, the Russians from Zenit St. Petersburg played a friendly game today. Of course, Zenit where not able to list the players that played for Russia at the EURO 2008.

The staff of the English tabloid The Sun allowed themselves a little British humor and awarded ratings for the two lovers and their Summer holiday appearance. Of course that Nereida was awarded 10/10 for her sexy exit out of the sea, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s crazy head-dive from the yacht was rated only with 6.5/10.
Probably the guys from The Sun are still angry on the Portuguese star as they where forced to pay him. They lost a lawsuit against United’s player. Ronaldo had claimed damages after the editors from the above mentioned tabloid lied in an article, claiming that Ronaldo was using his cell-phone during his Manchester United training sessions. Barcelona’s top striker, the French national team player, Thierry Henry, has played yesterday in a charity football match organized by Steve Nash. The match was hosted by the Sara D. Roosevelt Park in Chinatown, New York.
Fans gathered in big numbers to see an unusual football match that featured along Thierry Henry, other popular football stars from Europe and the MLS like: Juan Pablo Angel (New York Red Bulls), Claudio Reyna (New York Red Bulls), Jozy Altidore (recently signed by the La Liga runners-up club Villarreal), Robbie Fowler (Cardiff City) and Steve McManaman (retired). NBA Stars have also tried the football. Germany qualify for the EURO 2008 final after a superb quarter-final against Turkey. Surprisingly Fatih Terim’s side was the better side of the match, but they failed to win tonight. Their luck ran out in the last minutes of the match as Philipp Lahm scored and brought the win for Germany. Turkey had managed to opened the score in the 22nd minute after several misses, including a crossbar. Schweinsteiger equalized 4 minutes later with a clever one-touch execution.
