Italy have obtained a comfortable win against Honduras in their opening match of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The Italians won 3-0 after goals scored by Giovinco, Rossi and Acquafresca. The last two goals where scored from the penalty spot.
Honduras missed the chance to score the consolation goal after missing a penalty kick in the 82nd minute of the game. This match counted for the Group D.

it seems Italy is really serious about winning the olympics but I must confess they have got tight competitions from Nigeria, Holland, Brazil and Argentina who are the defending champions.
