Germany win 2-1 against Russia and remain the sheriffs of the qualifying Group 4. Lukas Podolski opened the score in the 9th minute for the home side. Michael Ballack doubled the advantage after a deep cross and in the 28th minute. Russia fought back with Arshavin’s goal but Germany remained with the 3 points.
