Germany are the first side that qualified for the EURO 2008 final with a dramatic 3-2 semi-final win against Turkey. Joachim Low’s squad obtained 4 wins and a defeat until this last stage of the competition.
It all started with a 2-0 win over Poland. The second match was a 1-2 defeat against the Group B winners, Croatia. The short 1-0 win against Austria was decisive for qualifying to the quarter-finals.
A deserved quarter-final 3-2 win against Portugal, the main favorites of the competition at that stage.

Michael Ballack uncertain for the EURO 2008 Final
Germany have their problems too with injured players that could miss the EURO 2008 final. If David Villa’s faith is certain, Michael Ballack has real chances to play tomorrow, although coach Joachim Low confirmed that Chelsea’s inner midfielder was not able to train for the last two days because a problem with the right calf muscle.
Michael Ballack’s history with the German national football team is not that lucky. He missed the World Cup 2002 final because of a cumulative bookings suspension. He played in the World Cup 2006 semi-final that Germany lost against Italy. So the 31-year-old inner midfielder is yet to play a final with his national team. Will he manage it tomorrow? Read more

David Villa out from the EURO 2008 final
Valencia’s striker and the top goal scorer of the EURO 2008, is injured for tomorrow’s big final. David Silva has obtained a muscle injury in the 34th minute of the semi-final game against Russia.
The Spanish national team doctor Jesus Jimenez has confirmed that David Villa needs at least 6 days of recovery. This means that he will be out of the EURO 2008 final.
David Villa has scored 4 goals during the European tournament and has proved himself the most in shape striker of the Spanish side, against the odds that expected Fernando Torres in the same position.
Valencia’s striker has registered a hat-trick in the opening group stage game against Russia and added another goal in the second group stage match against Sweden. It was the most important 2-1 winning goal, scored in the 90th minute. Read more

Spain demolish Russia for the second time at the EURO 2008. Aragones’ side won 3-0 in front of a top shape Russian side. Spain impressed with a super football and great passing skills. Arshavin was not in his best days tonight and this had a huge impact on Russia’s play.
